UKTCF currently supports around 500 such children, in the most practical ways it can. For extended families to take these children in, they need information about the disease, education about living with HIV and, most importantly, some material support to allow them to keep the children in their home and attending school.

Since 2004 AIDS medication is now free in Thailand. However most families cannot afford the costs of travelling to the main hopsital in Chiang Mai for monthly check-ups. So this is where the charity steps in and provides transportation costs and related expenses. This allows an infected child and their carer to make the monthly check-ups insuring they stay healthy.
